rain rain rain.
It's pouring with rain. Hooray!

Comment with one of my characters (past or present) and I will tell you the following:
1. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
2. One of his/her best traits.
3. One of his/her worst traits.
4. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
5. The story/thread/chapter/post/paragraph/tag/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character.
6. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.

1. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her. I've never really gotten to play a Lorna before, except a very brief spell in Evo. She was always snapped up really quickly in games and even in Haven she was on the hold list on like the first day lol. So when the person dropped the hold I snapped her up because Lorna in an AU was just too good to pass up.

2. One of his/her best traits. Um HARD. Prooobably her loyalty, as odd as that might seem. If Lorna honestly thinks that your her friend and you manage not to piss her off, she'll defend you against anyone or anything. Like Alex for instance, who she's known forever.

3. One of his/her worst traits. Oh which one to pick. I'd say her sense of self-preservation, because it's the one that's most destructive. Lorna will fling you on the fire in a second if she thinks it's going to save her and it doesn't matter who you are. That's just the kind of person she is. She doesn't do self-sacrifice or taking the fall.

4. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character. It depends really. I find it easy to write her bitchy, vindictive side which is just so much fun. But showing Lorna's more vulnerable side is definitely a challenge and I do worry that she seems too one-dimensional sometimes :/

5. The story/thread/chapter/post/paragraph/tag/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character. Definitely this one with Cal. The way he saves her from the angry crowd, they have hot sex and then she turns round and blames everything on him. That's just sooooo Lorna and I love it.

6. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future. Plenty! I want her to meet Erik because she's so desperate for that biological, paternal connection that she doesn't have. And I think Lorna's someone who could be very easily turned to the Brotherhood (or help create it) because she's the type to swing from anti-mutant to pro-mutant in a heartbeat. It's all about being the Most Important Person to her. And I really want to explore her relationship with Pietro and Wanda because it's so deliciously complicated.
