I just switched on the TV to BBC1 and they're showing the Superbowl live. WTF. I feel like my pills are making me hallucinate or something. How amazingly random. I'm going to support the guys in the blue cause they're making a big deal over this guy named Peyton.
Omg how exciting. They just set off pyrotechnics on the pitch. This is definitely not rugby.

I changed my journal theme the other day in preperation/celebration of Lost coming back next week. Can't wait, can't wait :> You won't be able to imagine my disappointment if it's basically another season of the most boring love triangle on tv ever. Kate, Jack, Sawyer. You're all officially on notice >/ The Vampire Diaries continues to delight though. The show's basically Dawson's Creek on crack with fangs and lol at Kevin Williamson's quote: "This show is always going to be about Stefan and Elena. It has to be. They're soulmates." I hope he realises this means Elena/Damon is now destined to take over and leave Paul Wesley crying on the dock of a creek. HAHAHAHA. The man never learns.
I figured I might as well just post these. I've been jotting things down and I'm finally starting to get an idea of these chars so what the heck :D

I had another uni related freak out today when I realised just how much reading I have to get done by mid-March. Second semester, why art thou so short? The past exam paper questions also look way over my head, that should be fun. I'll probably sit in the exams and go, "hmmm now what could this mean in english?"

I've only been back at uni one day but already the freak outs have begun. Last semester omg. LAST SEMESTER. To think I'll have to become a productive member of society so soon is scary.
Oh! I really want to get a few docs going, especially in ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) fleets. So look out for me grabbing you guys with ideas soon :D

First of all, I feel like I'm melting. No seriously. It has been 70% humidity here this week, 86 degrees farenheit and oh. WE DON'T HAVE AIR CON. No, our houses are built to keep the heat in. And my hayfever is awful so I can't even have the window open really, really wide. Not that the air would circulate anyway ;___; In addition to this, 2 police dogs died today in England because their handler left them in a car in the police car park. Not to mention the other dogs who have died this week because of similiar events. READ THE ICON FOLKS. DOGS + CARS + NO VENTILIATION = DEAD IN 20 MINUTES.
Secondly, someone needs to tell me not to spend half my paycheck on Lush products.

Today was too hot. 26 degrees (or 80 farenheit) and just, no. Too hot. And I had to haul ass into uni to take out 6 books and that meant I was traipsing through the town with a really heavy, slightly dodgy looking backpack that got me a few suspicous stares in central station. Idk why people always think I'm a potential terrorist. My own government, passerbys, train police... I must give off some sort of weird vibe. It's the surname I think. Just seems to scream IRA :/
We got our reading list through today for some courses though. And omg PETER PAN is one of the books we've to read for Victorian Lit. That was one of my favourites as a kid :> And then one of my old teachers called me tonight and said the school would be delighted to have me back in August and September. Which means I get classroom experience (looks good on application for post-grad in December) and I get to see whether or not I really want to do teaching. She was so lovely too and called me one of her success stories rofl rofl.
Annnnd to top it off, Murray played a beautiful match in the first round of Wimbledon today. Really entertaining too. I have my fingers crossed that he'll make it through to the final this year but we'll see. And it might just be me but he was looking more handsome this year too, hmm.
P.S. I have a prompts table here that people should tag so I can write some fun drabbles while I'm in the mood.

just a quick note to say that i caught a TERRIBLE stomach bug yesterday that's completely floored me. and i have a 2500 word essay to write by monday. so fighting off the nausea/desire to sleep and forcing myself to write my essay instead.

Somehow I forgot that Christmas in my house always turns into a heated debate. So far we've argued about; people on benefits, the point of the royal family, the merits/faults of mary queen of scots, the war in iraq, the origin of infections in hospitals, who the best strictly come dancing contestant is, who should be the next doctor who and everyone's favourite... religion vs the lack thereof.
God I love my family. I can hear them getting riled up on something else as I'm typing this.

So for the record i'm an idiot. decided to go enjoy the sunny afternoon and wimbledon men's final by hitting the tennis courts near my grandparent's house. family fun for all until i do something to my arm. right now i can't straighten or touch it without searing pain so it's in a sling. my dad thinks i've either done a number on the muscle or torn/strained a tendon. anyway i have to wait till tommorrow and hope its eased off or try to get a doc appt. typing with my left hand is crazy hard.
tags i will get back to asap. clez if you want to start the gdoc scene that would be cool? i'll reply tomorrow hopefully. assuming my arm is better ;____;
ironic thing is that i started the gym on friday :/
